I was very fortunate a couple of years ago to witness the journey of several baby loggerhead turtles from their nest to the ocean while visiting Ormond Beach, Florida. I have been to the beach many times and many times I have seen the posted signs ”Do Not Disturb” the nesting area of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. Never in my wildest imagination did I think that I would ever see these little guys making their way down to the ocean.  I stood there (along with another vactioneer) in awe of these babies heading off to a world of deep blue sea!  I wondered afterwards, what their fate would be.  Where would they call home?  And by the way, “WHERE  IS THEIR MOTHER!!??  Although I did not have my camera with me, I did have my cell phone and was able to get these pics.  It was an incrediable opportunity to see these siblings running  down to the sea as if there was a magically drawing power that had hypnotized them.  The young girl that was witnessing this event with me was very excited when I sent these pics to her.
